fish finder

hi i am new to this site.what do you think of lawrance x107c am thinking of buying one. i fish long inland sound mostly i have a humminbird now its a cheap one so i think the lawrance should be alot better. or should i be looking at another brand. thanks for any help

That Lowrance is a good little unit. It should serve the purpose you need it for. There are many better units out there but this one is a Giant step up from what you are using now.

logan thanks for your reply what are the better units in the 600.00 range i would like to see the everthing under the boat. i am not sure how good the lawrance will work. iam sure its much better than the one i have. i would like to get the best bang for my dollar. thanks again

For your price range I think that is the best unit. Now that is just my personal preference, others will disagree. If you wanted to spend another 200 bucks you can get a furuno, the best bottom finder on the market (again, personal preference). I know many guides who use lowrance as their main electronics here in FL. They make a good, inexpensive unit. All fish finders are different but once you learn what you are looking at on your screen you will not like using other products.

Those Raymarine Hd untis are pretty nice for the price. I believe they are the DS 400 and 500x models. They also have better customer service than Lowrance. I like these over the lower priced Furuno models also.
