While some will not have to worry about storing the boat for the winter, some of us guys a little too far north have been asking questions about storage.

I was reading over the November 3 mariner paper today and this is what they suggest as far as E-10 fuel and storage.

Some of the article includes................

With any fuel that sits in a tank for a long time, its important to add a stabilizer, but understand stabilizers do not prevent phase seperation.

Top off tanks to 95% full, leaving room for expansion. A tank that is almost full limits the flow of air into and out of the vent, which reduces the chance of condensation adding water to the fuel.. draining tanks of E-10gas, while completly eliminating any chances of phase seperation, is potentially dangerous and an impractical solution.

leaving a tank partially filled is a bad move.

never try to plug up a fuel vent to prevent moist air from entering a tank. Without room to expand, the additional pressure could rupture fuel system components.
