Can't speak for you or your dad. My dad loved flounder and inshore fishing. tried to take him offshore once and had to come back in. We spent the day doing what he loved to do and what we used to do together. Fishing inshore. Worked for us. It was a great day.

I did that with my mom ... Brought her to Disney for a week. We leave Saturday night for home and shes already talking about next year. As for my dad I need to do something. We wrench on shit together, fish together, do a lot together but we are just now getting closer after my parents divorce. My mom
cried when I told her to pack her bags and I can't wait to see my dads reaction. Its a good thing your doing it. All parents hate to admit it but little kids grow up and eventually show there appreciation for putting up with our shit for 18 years, plus who's going to take dad fishing when he gets old

My dad is the reason i love fishing....i just have gotten to do alot more of it than he has. And i owe him. he was always there on the other line biting his lip when i would tell him we just went 10 for 12 on sails.....He loves inshore offshore..surf..fresh water (hes a water sign like me) We will get line wet any way we can!

haha..the old man jokes about pushin him out to see with a bucket of bait and a well stocked tackle box..and he will see us in heaven......But seriously both parents deserve alot more than a couple fishing trips! for putting up with me
