Wart hogs are one bad plane...just hearing it here does not do it justice as to what it can do. I hunt and fish around a place called "point of marsh"' a bombing range and to watch the gun fire hit the ground is a trip...I never want to be on the receiving end of one of then. I guessing that each burst we heard was around 10,000 rounds...

Nice post, foxhole. Crazy powerful weapons, and should be experienced first-hand to really appreciate them.

gottaflylee- rattan bay, turnigan bay, point of marsh...now THATS God's country. I have witnessed more than a few bombing runs/live round runs from the old light house accross the mouth of the river. Makes you want to stand up and shout, and salute, all at the same time! Hard to describe...

Back before I was bad_angler I spent a few years as bad_golfer. I'd play once a week down near McEntire Air Guard station between Sumter and Columbia,SC. The fighter jocks often fly over the course a few hundred feet above the fairway. Just so you know, a surprise visit from an F16 adds about 200 yards to a slice and maybe 80 feet to a putt.

I know what you mean bad angler. I had an A-10 come over the trees as i was in my backswing. did not even hear the plane till it was right on top of the fairway
