It also happened in England several years ago, at least that is what my uncle told me...He was there when it happened.

Unfortunately, that needs to happen over there. That region of the world is the next Afghanistan, maybe worse. We just haven't figured out the logistics of making it happen. Much worse terrain, way worse atrocities, larger problem area, everything...whole nine. If you draw a crescent from Libya to basically Kenya, there's your problem.

I spoke to a guy who was a Force Recon who operated in Libya for a while. He's retired, works as a PSC now. He said Libya was the worst he'd ever seen. Much of their work was high speed, take out a warlord or high ups under him, and get out. He described the kids over there as being the worst. They were drugged up all day. Rebels had them brainwashed. They'd hide in huts, wait for you to come along, then take pot shots with AK's.

Whole lot of problems over there.

Problem is the sheer size of the problem area. Like i said, it's like a crescent shaped swoop from Libya down to Somalia.

They're sick puppies over there. Cut all the limbs off the villagers and send them back in a wheelbarrow as an example to the others...don't mess with the rebels.

We've run spec ops over there for a while. Taking out rebel commanders here and there, etc. To not much avail.

No disagreement with you there. The diamond isn't as marketable of a resource as oil.

Regardless of motives, you can't deny that the logistics of setting up concrete operations over there to fix the problem wouldn't be absurdly complicated.

EDIT: You see what looks to be a Gov't pre-ban M16 in the upper right? Bet that would fetch a pretty penny.
