ENOUGH WITH THE "X" WHATEVER SITE INTROS

    Guys

First of all WELCOME... we are glad you found your way here. Welcome to the "Big League"... hopefully you contribute through a nice introduction of who you are, where you fish, your boat(s)...whatever. Hell, we're up for any kind of story... but I do want to go on record and say something. I don't think anyone needs to come into someone else's "living room" and say they are the X of whomever (or is it whoever???). I don't think anyone had the keys to your keyboard locked down to the point of you not being able to venture out in this wonderful world wide web that Al Gore so kindly invented.

So please, respect John, Jer and all of us that call this place our dock. Tie up, crack open a cold one and go for it while we give you a slip of your own... but please, just quit talking about your ex-boyfriend on the first date.

That's as nice as I can make it.

    Merry Christmas!

    Hello Galazio,

I suppose I am one of those who mentioned that they were an X from another site.

My intent in doing so was not to cause any grief, irritation, or concern to anyone else, It was more along the lines of..................a sigh of relief...

For me... kind of like saying.... man I'm glad I am here now and not there... so good riddance to that X place .

In all seriousness, I for one appreciate the warm welcome I have gotten here and look forward to good times with all of you.

So with that off my chest, I'm happily cracking one open and reading up on some of the great content here at SFC. If you really are gonna get a slip ready for me i want let you know (I don't need much space i only have a little bitty 17ft boat)

Hopefully in a couple more years when the kids are done with school I can trade up.

And no worries, I have no problem never mentioning them again....

It's all good... It wasn't meant to be a "slam" or anything... just a reminder that this is someone else's house and that someone will never ask you to buy a tire to be here, or to sell something. The advertisers pay for that through their support of the site, and OUR support of them. Seeing a site that is in the same market space mentioned 5 times when I signed in is what got a little under my skin. Saying "I'm an X whatever" and saying "Hi I'm new to SFC" accomplishes the same thing, just in a different way. Just my opinion.

Now post up! at 100 posts you get a surprise that does not cost anything!

Hey Prowler... I almost forgot, size doesn't matter around here (at least that's what we tell eachother to ease the pain)... But still to this day, my most coveted days fishing have been out of a float tube on the Chattahoochee River for trout with my best bud from high school... taking my mom out in the 15' beer can and watching her catch a 10lb SMALLMOUTH! and canoeing with my sister in Canada. I just need a float tube with more drink holders and I'm still trying to figure out where to mount that steering knob and iPod!

Prowler, I'd say that you are all done...I joined this site just to see some of Marty's videos a couple of years ago...and look where I am now- hopelessly addicted . The truth is, there are so many good people on this site, and everyone is so open to thoughts and ideas, that it makes you want to post away.

I am with you guys on the simple CC rig. We like to think a fair bit of study and thought went into our first boat choice. So far, so good. Its got a top on it, but otherwise its a very basic boat. Of course we are thinking of something bigger, something we could live on for a week, something we could chase them big fishies with. We'd love a boat big enough to comfortably take to some other island nations down here. And the fishing... Heck, some of the things you guys catch wouldnt fit on our little boat, but I tell you what, its well matched for our home waters and we love it.
