Eating Bluefish
I saw in Saltwater Sportsman that NJ has a warning on bluefish from Delaware Bay./ I checked and so does Delaware.
1 meal (8oz ) per month under 14' fish
1 meal per year for larger fish
due to PCB levels
I guess the best recipe for bluefish is this one posted by 33Trojan
BLUEFISH RECIPE
BEST I HAVE HAD SO FAR
GOT YOUR PENCIL...........
GOT YOUR RECIPE BOOK THATS BEEN HANDED DOWN FOR GENERATIONS.......
FOR PROPER TASTE DO NOT GO CHEAP ON THE FOIL.......IT MUST BE THE BEST........NO EXCEPTIONS.
OK LETS GET STARTED
CLEAN FISH.... BE SHORE TO REMOVE ALL DARK MEAT AND SKIN
PLACE ON ALUMINUM FOIL AND SPRINKLE WITH YOUR FAVORITE SEASONING
PLACE A GOOD AMOUNT OF MAYO ON TOP OF THE FISH AND WRAP IN ALUMINUM FOIL AND COOK ON THE GRILL FOR ABOUT 10MIN. TURNING ONCE AFTER ABOUT 5MIN.
BESURE NOT TO SCORCH THE FOIL
REMOVE YOUR FRESH BLUEFISH STEAKS FROM THE ALUMINUM FOIL
IMPORTANT.......
BECAREFUL NOT TO LET ANY OF THE FISH STICK TO THE FOIL
NOW THROW THE FRESH BLUEFISH AWAY AND EAT THE ALUMINUM FOIL
FEEL FREE TO SUBSTITUTE WITH SALMON

I think Admin is going to let me have this space
dont get the wrong idea....bluefish is good eating. you just have to know a few things. first....skin and remove all of the bloodline and dark meat.....and second, always eat it FRESH! catch them in the AM and eat 'em in the PM. the smaller snapper blues are one of my favorite fried fishies.
