    E-bay question

Hey just a quick question. Who here has used e-bay to sell things. How does the money get from the pay-pal account into yours after somone makes a purchase from you? Im gonna give this a shot for some of my stuff I have kicking around. Any input would be appreciated-

You can tie your ebay account to a current bank account or request a check. Requesting a check cost a few bucks but requesting the money to be transferred from your ebay account to your bank account is free and takes a few days. never had a problem.

No - the money is placed into a paypal account that you have online access to. You request that money be transferred to your personal or business bank account. It usually takes 3 days for the money to be transferred.

I was just looking over my pay-pal account and it says I have 1300.00 in available funds. I just went through my payment history and back in 2006 I had purchased a dog and backed out. He refunded me the money through pay-pal. This money has been sitting there and I didnt realize it. A couple things I bought have been taken right out of the balance. Before I went and transferred this extra money I wanted to make sure I was right. Now the important question is how I do this with out the pony tail sniffing around and finding out? She could smell a dollar bill a mile away...

Just keep it in there. Most products and services today take paypal. For instance I booked a trip a while back and paid my deposit on paypal. Kinda like a little slush fund. If you need the money for a specific reason, ask that reason if they take paypal. just a suggestion. I take paypal for my squids, condos, telecom services etc. I am sure you can blow through 1300 pretty easily.

I was way way heavy on ebay for a while. Ran a zillion transactions through paypal. You hook your paypal account toa bank account. As the account grows you simply "withdraw" and send your funds to the bank account.
I can not suggest highly enough that you set up with it. Otherwise your bids on Ebay will be drasticly reduced and final price will suck. Almost all hard core ebay users are with it. Its makes life simple and provides security for both buyer and seller. Paypal is secure as can be but you need to watch for "spoof" emails. Some look way legit but don't answer them. Often they will start with "dear member"... Thats a dead give away that its a fake. They will also try to elicit a shock reaction by saying account suspended, or "this item is being charged to your account". If in doubt forward it to Spoof@paypal.com and they can tell you if its for real.

I have found paypal to be great outside of ebay too. A lot of vendors take it and I can use it to take all major credit cards. I got one of their debit cards too. I get a point and a half back on transactions I run as "charge" on it... No big deal on small stuff but do a lot and it adds up.
