DVD ripper program help......

I have some DVD's of past fishing trips that I want to download to my laptop and then post on here,Myspace,Youtube,etc. Any of you know of a download online or have the program that I can use to do this?

If you do a google search you can probably find some freeware to get the job done, especially if you have XP. You can pretty much forget it with Vista (not too much freeware out for Vista yet). Your computer may have come with a program that will work. You've probably tried it, but pop the disc in and a menu should come up and an appropriate program will most likely be one of your options.

That's my problem....I have a laptop with Vista. My desktop back home had everything. But I'm stuck down here. Can't really go to the store around the corner here.

I would suggest nero 8. You can a down load with a price of 80.00. Check it out and see if it is more than you need. It is a full suite of software titles. The reason I said "would" suggest, I am not sure of your internet speed.....Nero can do just about anything with a cd or dvd you want...except make a teaser out of a dvd or cd......that you have to rig captain john style

Thanks, but it seems like everything I try requires money and a credit card. I haven't been able to deposit money to my U.S. account yet so I guess I'll have to wait.
