DUMB GAS QUESTION

Can sombody please explain to me way gas is still $3.79 a gallon when the barrel price is at $100.00 ? It shoud be less than $3.00, I don't get it.

What the hell is it gonna take ?

yeah, Im stumpped too gas has fallen @$20.00 a barrel in the last 2 weeks but the price at the pump up here hasn't changed 1 cent in that time period

I wish we knew who we could ask too! this crap burns me up! it's all a game to the people in charge. we are all just peons that think a vote can make a difference. what a joke!

We are at 3.66 and I just heard that the major convience store chain that controls gas price here is going up today because of the hurricane. They jumped .04 last friday because of Hanna and dropped it .03 yesterday and now they are going up again. Makes no sense. It is like all they want to do is take advantage of people.

I saw $3.22 yesterday.

We are always lower then the rest of the country due to the locations of the refineries I guess

that is a good question, funny i asked myself that yesterday. I pulled this graph from cnbc yesterday.



it show approximately a 40cent drop in gas futures, now i understand that does not go directly to the consumer, however we are extremely slow to get any of it.

While it is not the only reason for deisel being higher it started when gas prices went up and alot of people that could decided to buy deisel cars instead of gas and it was just another way for the gas companies to make more money by raising deisel prices. I was talking to a guy in our commercial department and he was saying that just a few years ago that he could show customers that the savings on fuel would pay for the deisel option in 5 years, now it takes over 10 when most people have traded the truck in already.
