    Driving a boat down to Fla

    Leaving Saturday out of Manasquan, weather permitting.

    Itinerary is Rudee Sat, Morehead Sun, Charleston Mon, St Augustine Tues, Lauderdale Weds. Running outside as much as possible. Boat is going to CR via Dockwise

    Any local knowledge would be mucho appreciated. Last time I made this trip was 20 years ago

    Or if anybody wants to grab a burger or beer, give me a shout

    Charleston is deceptive how far the buoys head out. Its several miles. Aim most of the way down the channel to save time and remember the tides there are like 8 feet...St. augustine take the first lft (get there in daylight so you can see the markers). "Conch house" is great restaurant and marina with cheapish fuel (compared to here).
    I don't know much about Morehead except that it was tough to find a slip in town and theres a bunch of really odd funny talkin people.

    Have a Good trip Ditto on What paul said ,,try to do all inlet's in the day light

    for me i would run the ditch from Norfolk to Moorhead it does not take all that much longer and it breaks it up a bit
