    Drag and Speed

Anyone know the approx max trolling speed and drag required to troll

    1. Yozuri Bonita

    2. Mann 30 Plug

It's not a contest or anything, I just can't get a straight answer.

    Thanks for the help.

I have pulled the mann 30 @ 3.5 to 3.8 mph and it did stay in the water. Straight out of the package...no mods. The bonito type plug @ 6 mph but could of went higher. It darted around in the wash. Again straight out of the package...no mods. The beam on the boat is 8.6' and one plug, I thought, was enough to keep an eye on

We pull the Manns 30s at 4-6 knots over here. After a couple of fish they are beat up and wont stay under anymore.
The bonitos we pull up to about 10 knots behind a trolling weight.

As for the drag, we are pulling the manns on tld 25's and have pulled them on 6500 baitcasters in the past with no problems. The bonitos we are pulling behind a trolling weight and we pull them on the 30's or 50's.

    Behind a trolling weight??

Is that the in-line type? I never considered that. Thanks for the info, guys. Kahi
