...is your boat a lite blue or gray CC with DoubleD on the side? If so, I think I've see you out at Big Southern a few times.
Good to see another South Texas guy on here.

Galazio, what part of Texas you from? I was born and raised in the Dallas area. I have been in Maryland the last 20 yrs. I used to go to Corpus and the Valley years ago.
I'm outside San Antonio in the beautiful Texas Hill Country. Fish out of Rockport/Port Aransas.
(we have a big rat problem... these rats with horns on their heads take up all the shade......and not too far from a good place for a cold beer...
)

I have a cousin in San Antonio, Hill Country is awesome I have had alot of good times on 6th st. in Austin and watching the sun go down at the "Oasis" on Lake Travis. Damn those were without a doubt the good old days. In Dallas we always refered to it as going to God's country when we were planning a trip down I-35 South. I fished out of Corpus 35 yrs. ago damn I'm getting old. That pic. of the rats looks like it is straight off the YO Ranch. Well, good luck with the fishing and it is nice to see there are a few Texans on this site.
My place is right down the road from the YO... and you know the Oasis got hit by lighting and burned down (in a hurry, it was a hellacious fire). They did rebuilt it and opened back up last year. That is a unique place.
For those of you wondering or ever travel to Austin, the Oasis is a bar that sits perched on a cliff 500' above the waters of Lake Travis. It is a beautiful place and worth a trip if you are there on business.

I wasn't aware of the fire, man that sucks. I couldn't tell you the last time I was in Austin or San Antonio at least 10 yrs. I am going to make the trip and do the whole tour one of these days from Austin right down to the Valley. Oh by the way is "Hippy Hollow" still down on Travis under the Oasis? Damn it sure looks different, back in the day there were alot of UT show ponies around that place for happy hour.

I've only been there a couple times when some out of town guests need a three day tour of the area. Trying to squeeze everything from the missions, riverwalk, Gruene, Luckenback, the vinyards, Austin, the coast, the ranch...(hell I'm already tired thinking about it). Here's a couple pics (not of me or friends) but to give you an idea of the height of the cliffs around the Oasis.
Well to answer your question, no. That wasn't me. I own a 94 17' Pro Deep V Tracker with a Johnson Javelin 85hp motor w' doel fins. It just says tracker on the side. But I am a very avid fishing nut. 38 rods and 6 tackle boxes, and a myriad of other "fishing crap" as she calls it..... and I'm still married. Can you believe it????
As far as the boat, I have customized it quite a bit. It has 4 ss rodholders across the stern, outriggers, downriggers, 11 rodholders, below deck anchor rope storage and bow pulpit. 4.5' long live well. I'm planning a live bait well soon. Yes, there is room. Storage out the yang (6 compartments). Shes on a galvanized trailer with LED's, new 7' bunks, motor toter, spare with onboard lug wrench. Humminbird 400TX Fishfinder and Cobra VHF w' 8' whip. My next investment will be a Humminbird 797 C2i unit, but I haven't quite talked her into that just yet. $650 is going to take a bit more schmoozing, but I'm getting there. Anyway, thats it in a nutshell.
I hope to see you on the water. Oh, she is called "Reel E Hooked"
Got pics of her in the my pics section along with some nice redfish. Enjoy.![]()
