    Don't Take It For Granted,

Found out today that my daughter's old boyfriend (first one) has had a stroke and a brain anurism at the young age of 25. Keith was alway's polite, a pretty good kid all around. Sharp as a tack with computer's, was planning on making computer engineering his life's work. I'm glad he was able to go with me on a delivery from George Town, SC to upstate NewYork, a few years back. He is in intensive care at a trauma hospital here at home. They say he has lost a good portion of brain function, what he has left allow's him to know what is going on, but can't speak, move or comunicate in any way. Sometimes life hand's us what we don't see as fair. I sincerely wish he and his family peace during this extremely difficult time. I can't even begin to imagine what any of them are going through. I'm sure thought's and prayer's would be very welcome. Take time to tell your family you love them. Frank

Never underestimate the power of the human spirit and the power of prayer... My father had a mild stroke in November, and by January he had regained most of his speech functions and at this point is driving and working pretty normally. He still has difficulty with some words.

I will tell you that the first day after, he couldn't put 2 words together and couldn't tell you what was in a picture of a dog...

I will also tell you that from the research I did and from talking with the doctors - Intensive therapy is usually critical as soon as possible...

Best wishes to him and his family.

Sorry about the bad news. And thanks for the reminder, once again, that tomorrow isn't guaranteed. Thoughts and prayers are with this young man and his family as they face a difficult time.
IE8 says this may be a phishing site....Well, DUH!!!!!!... Stupid jerks can't even spell fishing right.

That's really sad, it put's a lot of things into perspective for me. I just turned 20 years old, and I mean, sometimes I think I've got so long to live. And at the same time, I could be in his situation. That's a true bummer unfortunately.

    What caused it?

Don't know the cause. He told me before that he didn't really expect to live a long life. It seem's that there is quite a history in the family of very early heart attack. I haven't heard of any improvement, the type of attack (syndrone) that he had doesn't lead for much hope of survival. Frank
