Every time I see a NY plate around the Manhattan vicinity i get the HELL out of the way. NJ drivers are no peach though.

From someone who worked in NYC for many years, they have actually gotten better. Because the streets are so crowded they can't move. If you want to see real loonies take a cab in Cancun. They all drive a smaller model of a Sentra called a Tsuru (or something like that). They are maniacs cut off buses and other cabs roll through red lights. Kind of make the NYC cabbies look sane.

They are GOOD drivers though man. I've taken cabs in Acapulco. Those guys put NYC drivers to shame.

Take an NYC driver and put them in NJ and then you have a disaster.

Someone who doesn't drive faster than 35mph and then put them on the turnpike or parkway. They drive 50 in the left lane and cause chaos
