funny you say that. Where We live you here the bull frogs and peep frogs from spring thru november. Once in a while a fox will snatch a goose or duck for a midnight snack....do you know what a fox sounds like at 2:00 am ? ripping the back out of a goose back to what I was thinking We have relations living in New York. At the time it was in the bronx. Some of the stories I have heard are insane. The sun going down brings out all the koo koo's. gunshots, to alarms, to shrieks of pain, the list went on. Oh and dogs barking all darn night long..... I will take the peep frogs any day by the way...a fox has a high pitched fast cry....like a squirrel does when a 22 hits home

Differnt strokes I guess. I grew up in the bronx and never had any trouble sleeping thru the night time noises. When my parents sent me to the "country" for a vacation at my aunts, the dam bugs, frogs and whatever kept me up all night.

We have one across the street from us. The dog barks for 3 hours, they open the door throw the ball for the dog and go back inside. Why have a dog? I just don't get it. I dont want to hurt the dog, the owners are another story.

so funny you posted this my wife and I are trying to put the kids (17 mo and 5 mo) to bed and my neighbors mastiff has been out all day and is barking like mad for the last 2 hours and they are not even home. The dog is like 170 pounds and his bark shakes the house. Its gonna be a long night

I may get a bunker snag out soon and practice (j/K)

joe it took me awhile to adjust to the peeps. The fox was a shocker At 5:00 the next morning, the feathers were in a mound next to the backless goose...yum !!!!!...by 10:00 the buzzards had brunch finished off.

the bronx sounds were in 1994. the car alarms started at 10:00 pm and stopped when the batteries died or sunrise...1 block away 3 nights out of 5. those new alarms...whoop whoop whoop yarnk yarnk yarnk, I can not type the last sound. but was told to me it sounded like a british police car siren

I'll bet I looked at 100 Lake lots and all of them I had a dog come out as if he was going to take my leg off. STUPID owners!!!! Needless to say that I was looking for serenity and didn't find it, hence I don't live on a lake. What were they thinking?
