Dog Breeder Rant

definitely second going to the rescue again. Both of my pups (catahoulas) came from the rescue and I couldnt ask for better hounds. And they will be eternally grateful for you taking them in. For what its worth, my female Halle was 90 minutes from being put down when my girlfriend picked her up.

Some of my best dogs came from the pound. Rascally mutts, and pure breeds. I know the rescues down here are overloaded with the tough guys dog, the pit...and some pit mixes...usually where a pit get out and rapes a pretty lab etc...but there are always the great finds. Put and end to mills, and breeders that are ruining dog species by over breading. Take home a rescue, and do the work. You dont have to get a rescue from your town...you can get a dog from another area....its worth it.

Now this is a rant well done, sounds like it came straight off the HUS/PETA website. Good point though, rescue dogs do make some of the best dogs.

but they only have baby pitbulls.

yea, apparently thats the "cool" breed to have now a days..it makes you real gangsta when you own a Pit yo! You cannot beat a Lab.

I have a pit, he is the best dog I have ever had, and I've had plenty, no more affectionate loyal dog out there...he was a rescue when he was 3 weeks old...I guess that makes me a wanna be gangsta yo....

And he can go fishing, just doesn't swim well

We got our Black Lab from a lady who has been breeding champions for years. Mom and Dad are champion field trial dogs . Our dog Marlin was a breeze to train for duck hunting.
