a couple of bucks is not going to make or break anyone here, I assume, but to a kid working the docks this is what makes the difference. I can remember working summers and you better believe the fellas and I always knew who tipped. These few extra bucks mean a lot to them

I always throw them a few bucks.

I don't care if it's a kid or not. The guy at the pump always gets a tip.

When your dropping $1,500.00 whats another glass of water when your already drowning?

These people are out there all day long dealing with the public. "Dealing with the public sucks"

They also have to deal with the blowboaters that come in for 20 gal of fuel and spend an hour there washing their boats and crap, leave the fuel dock a mess and don't give the attendant $hit.

These people work hard running the fuel dock and should be rewarded.

    Just my .02

I ran a fuel dock for a season about 10 yrs ago, and I don't recall ever getting a tip. I served lots of large yachts 50' to 80' including Bill Gates one day. However the law is different here, as an attendant we are only allowed to hand the customer the fuel hose, and they must pump the fuel themselves. Perhaps that's why I never seen any tips. Blow boaters were a pain....buying 5 gal of gas and spending half an hour taking on water, while yacht owners were forced to wait.

He is the tall redhead named Colin. You might want to consider his martial arts status and track star speed. LOL.

    Hey Dave:

No new boat. it must be a rumor. I am helping Kurt with his 52Viking this season. Kurt & his son Kurt Jr. have kind of adopted me.
