Do you take un neccesary risks?

I saw this on the news wire and it got me thinking.
Puffer fish can be like playing russian roulette when consuming certain species raw. These people were fishermen so it should be assumed that they knew the potential issues.

Everyday people die from taking risks that are known to have potentially deadly side affects.

Texting and driving just about everyone does it, but people get killed everyday from it happening.
Just things rolling in my head today.

IN BRIEF - Man dies after eating puffer fish, four critical

    VIET NAM
    Thursday, September 08, 2011

BAC LIEU - Four fishermen who ate puffer fish are recovering in hospital but remain in a critical condition, a doctor in southern Bac Lieu Province Hospital said on Tuesday 6 September.

On 28 August, the fishing boat's owner died after he and the four crewmen ate the puffer fish in Ganh Hao Seagate in Dong Hai District.

Authorities often issue warnings about the dangers of eating puffer fish, which contain highly toxic tetrodotoxin. Even a small amount of the toxin is potentially lethal to humans.

i spent 8months listening to a menapausal woman constantly complaining about anything and everything - i swear my life flashed before my eyes on more than one occasion...THAT was living on the edge...
thankfully,i came to my senses and returned home to my quiet house...
that was the most terrifying thing i've ever witnessed - fights, car wrecks, motorcycle wrecks - they all failed to compare to that horror......i would sooner wrestle with a friggin' bear, than go through that again...
