Anyone getting calls from unwanted solicitors? I thought I was on the DO NOT CALL LIST. Don't remember when I got on the list. I know I never opted off the list. I guess it expired. Anyone remember the web site? Big PIA to answer the calls again.

I have been around the marketing buisness for along time and know alot of people.

I was asking my buddy about this shit since our phones ring non stop all day long again.

This is what i found out.

VOICE OVER IP IS KILLING US.

Call centers in india and other countries calling non stop. Since its voice over ip there is a minimal bill.

They harvest the leads then sell the leads of people who answer and want more info and then a week later a usa based company calls ya.

mine got so bad I disconntected my home phone and only use my cell now--- pretty sad state of affairs when I can't even have a home phone number anymore because I was being interupted 10 times a night by unwanted solicitors.

You are getting called from india , argentina , china , ph, br, russia, etc

They are calling us on voice over ip ! They prequalify you then sell you as lead.

Sucks big time its worse then spam and i have a feeling its going to get worse way worse

Not only are you getting calls from over seas there are a lot of different types of companies that can still call from inside the U.S. that are exempt from the do not call list. I cannot remember right off the top of my head which kinds of companies they are but there are a ton of stipulations for that do not call list. I do remember non-profits being one of them.
