I came to the same understanding you all have a few years ago. The only problem for me is I work a schedule where I am gone for 2 weeks and then I am home for 2 weeks. The things I miss and how fast my son is growing up makes me feel like a fool, but until I get some things done to change it I have to grit my teeth and deal with it. Sometimes I wish I was self imployed but my friends who are tell me I would be crazy to think that. I just wish I could spend more time with my son before he doesn't think his "old man" is very cool.

Thanks for posting that up my friend.....I have recently had the same revelation and am trying my best to back the throttles down. Same as you I've had my own company for 21 years now and am the AAA type personality. I'm tired of being the gardener and want to take time and start smelling the roses.
