    direction advise,

I need some opinions , im leaving next tuesday and trailering the grady to palm beach, boat is still in delaware, should i go across 50 and get into the beltway around dc, or should i just take 13 all the way down, and get on 64 in va, and then pick up 95.

    thanks for any help

Alot depends on the time your leaving and the cost getting across the CBBT. I would stay on the eastern shore and go over the CBBT but others may suggest different! Either way good luck and have a safe trip!

    You're screwed no matter what
Seriously, they can be real strict on rigs over 8'6" on the CBBT. If you do consider the CBBT route make sure your trailer width is within spec.
You will loose 1 hr 45 min back tracking on I64 to get on I95.
If you go the CBBT route I would take 17 (in Va Beach) to NC64 (not to be confused with Interstate 64 in Va.) which will feed you into I95 at Rocky Mt, NC. all 4+ lane 65-70 mph speed limit.

If you can make it to the Potomac River in DC by 2:30pm, I would take the DC route. Traffic starts clogging up about 3:30 in Northern Va during the week and continues till 6:30 or so.
Tidewater Traffic starts exactly @ 3:40 PM and continues till 6ish (military and shipyard shifts)
If you have any problems around Virginia or need a place to crash for the night near Richmond, gimmie a call

Hey Dorethy: see my earlier post.
Frigging Pino's longest drive is to the Executive Terminal at BWI

Tim I would also consider 301 down to 17s if you are going to be in a traffic window.

Glenn - I don't even have to do that anymore. We fly out of salisbury now. talk about the life. One may two cars in our way. We can actually park on the curb sometimes. longest line I have had to endure is 5 minutes.
