    Dinner Tab-- Bash away ladies

I know this is old, but I get tickled every time I see it.
Stopped by a popular Italian Joint on the way home tonight to pick up a pizza. Typical red & White table cloth joint where you pick up to go orders and pay the tab at the register if dining in. Prime time and the line was long at the register---
4 Soccer moms (each probablly driving a Benz, Volvo or Burban) with a girls night out: "Ok, Mary, you had the Veal Parmisana, that was $9.95, Sally, the Alfredo was $6.75, Betty, you had the Veal Piccata at $12.95 and TWO glasses of wine"
Then there was Bubba and Lester with their dates/wives in line after the soccer moms- " I got it"-- "No I got it"-- "I'll, kick your ass, I said I've got the damn check".
Three of my son's friends were in line just ahead of me, each with their own check on the way to wherever 17 yr old boys go on a Sat. night w/o a date. They noticed I was waiting on pick up and said I could go ahead of them. I picked up the kids tab and you would've thought it was Christmas morning for those 3 kids----- wonder what could have come of the evening if I'd of picked up the soccer moms checks?????--- NOT

    AWWWWW that was so sweet....

those "soccer mom's" sound like me and my friends when we go out.... they know me I always go for the check first.. so they are trying to knock me over to get to it first... hehehehe.. that way they always will owe me a favor... hehe just kidding...

    what job....I'm too busy fishing
I usually pick up the tab too! Especially, if my friend is driving. If we have made a decision to go dutch treat.... we just split the cost in half. No dickering about who ate or drank what. If my friend pays... I get the tip.
When I'm out with other couples... I generally pay for my meal and share of tip. It isn't too hard.... because I don't go to fancy restaurants! Seems silly to pay a lot just to have a cutely decorated plate and food artistically arranged.... bleah! We have friends that think this is great..... uh uh. I have boat engines to feed.

Aha! There in lies a problem... Dutch... At MA500 this year. I didn't want to go to breakfast but since I had the car. I had to. I got a stack of $3.95 light and fluffy pancakes (to match my sugary sweet disposition ). My table mates though go for multiple fancy omlettes I think with caviar, pate, shrimp and crab meat stuffing . I think my light and fluffies costme aroun $25
