Digital TV!

WOw! Installed the new tv and dvd on the boat today... Clicked on the set and started pushing buttons. We don't have cable or sattellite yet so I stuffed a pair of rabbit ears out the hatch and played around. We get like four air channels here normally. Sometimes up to about seven... This set nailed all seven... As I went deeper I found something way way cool.
I have heard about digital radio having "hidden" stations... I didn't know they had that stuff for TV!
Holy crap... I had four or five sneaky channels behind the listed ones... I got like 30 HD channels out of the air!!! Woo hoo! I saw episodes of crap I havn't seen in years. Emergency, you know, squad 51 and rampart hospital with nurse Dixie. The came Kojack... I remember why I never liked it... Boring... Oh well cool that I have something to keep me company as this refit comes to a close...

Aw come on now 47 views and you ALL knew that there are hiden channels on HD? Am I the only one who didn't??? Just for that I'm gonna eat all the pop corn and watch Midget Bowling and Lesbian Bass Fishing channels all by my self...

Yup, I did that on mine this summer, put a digital antenna and the "box" on my old set and went from 4 channels to 37 in the Newburyport area, out on open ocean 54. Here is the antenna:

And the Magnavox converter from Ebay was about $22. I like to watch Leave it to Beaver.......Channel 7.1 is weather all the time like the weather channel on cable.....

The new set is digital... I just popped on some cheap ass $5 rabbit ears... Something like 30 off it... Can't imagine what I'd get with a nice boosted one... We're going to get satellite on her but not for a while... That will be down the line as we make this boat the ultimate machine...
