What does the average 28' Center console weigh? My 28 express with trailer is about 12,000 down the hiway...just wondering!

According to the thing under my name....uh, no, I have no bananas! None!

06 dodge ram 2500 I get 22mpg with mine. I prefer the dodge because of the Cummins engine. I'd buy an 06 or older vehicle so it doesn't have the new emission standars on the eninge= decreased mileage.

    04 dodge 4x4 4:11's 4 speed auto trans . 18mpg around town empty...stock.

    13mpg towing 70 mph -7500 lbs. 15mpg towing 55 mph -7500 lbs

I have heard by removing the resonator in the exhaust system, she will flow much more air

all the aerodynamics of a brick

The ultimate rig would be a stick with 3:55 gears in a 2x4 if you are looking for mpg

Ferds are fast but fuel hogs...zooooom !!!!!

duramax has the creature comforts in the cab, comparable mpg, but in the 4x4 I do not like the boots up front on the split shafts.

I am a old live axle dude.

The dodge has its following. We are a bunch of weirdo's but we have the best diesel engine in a light truck

I have a 01 F250 and stock it would get 19 mpg. After installing 36" tall tires I get 16 mpg. Pulling a 7,000 boat it would get around 12 mpg. I am expecting with my 28' at 12,000 lbs I will be around 9-10 mpg. The new fords definately are not very good on fuel. I have heard the avg to be 14 mpg unloaded.

IMHO I would not buy any 07+ diesel with the new emmissions stature on them espicially a ford. I get about 12-13 mixed 13-14.5 highway. its stock right now. If you see anything with Diesel Particulation filters, regen diesel system, recirculating diesel, do not buy it. Only reason I have mine is because I love the styling personally, and all my operating exspenses are paid for by work.

The new 08 domestic models all have EGR and particulate filters. Stay away from them until the manufacturers get a handle on the new emission equipment.
