Ha made ya look! Ain't gonna happen but it seems to be a lot of "last posts" here recently. Gets me thinking... I could see walking off a lot of other sites. Hell I'm a member on several that I just walked away from. Never said good bye and just moved on. To me that makes more sense than looking for a pitty boink goin out the door.
Then we have this site. Trust me boys and girls I have played enough around the net to know that this site is a winner and the people here second to none first class. Does that mean you are gonna walk on rose petals and have grapes peeled and dropped in your mouth all the time? No... but this place is the best one going. Yeah on occasion you'll find someone who disagrees with your point of view. Hell I've played the part of captain lightning rod and been spanked around plenty. I've locked horns with good people and bad and even our all mighty poobah and I have exchanged blows on these hallowed forums.
Hey guess what? I'm still here. Why? Simple... The grass aint greener on the other side. Been there and done that. No other site on the web is as flexible and user friendly as this one. No place with better content and more features. Although he's opinionated, often arrogant, hasn't got a clue what I'm really all about, theres a guy named John Eppenheimer that runs this place that I really care about.
Let me tell you about what I see in him. A passion like no other to have the best fishing site there is. You know? he really does. In keeping that site at the top there is a mountain of crapola he has to deal with. Stuff you and I have no clue about. Stuff about servers and search engines and intricate behind the scenes working we can't begin to imagine. He works tirelessly to give us the best site going.
He doesn't ask for diddly in return. That however doesn't mean that we should feel free to add to his burden with petty self serving issues. "Oh so and so said a mean thing about me..." I raise my hand of being guilty of that in the past. Today though I make a little more effort in not starting a situation that is gonna get his phone ringing.
This site is set up to be policed and kept clean by we the members, by you , by me. Its winter, tensions run higher. Lets give John a break here and try to avoid bashing on the threads. Give the PM function a go to settle differences. If you're gonna walk. Well then just walk.
Now... No stupid poll... Show of hands... Who's with me?
