    Deeps Friday Rant... Metabolism

    Choosing a topic for this weeks rant was tough... Almost everything that I have ranted about in the past was out in force testing the seams of my blood vessels and trying to get me to spring a leak. I had sailboats with cheap ass owners sneak into the marina from the anchorage at late night and steal water and tajke showers and had their rigging clanging in the wind and speaking with those french canadian accents. I had mega yachts blowing horns and pissing on the little people too. I had painful mechanical issues. I even had Sea Rays run right up the fishing edges of the pocket instead of driving straight from the corner to chub.
    At home I dealt with noise pollution of bridge work, fork lifts, leaf blowers and outboards running with the ear muffs on. I had a quick go with that little shit dockmaster of mine. God damned mercedes driving bleach blondes tripple parked in front of the poodle groomers. Red neck kids street racing and nearly deads comming to abrupt stops in the middle of traffic when they realized they were lost...
    Then I had a couple events that brought me to the topic of tidays rant... First I saw myself in a full length mirror yesterday for the first time in a month. I lost too much weight at Chub... I was single the last time I was this skinny... Charcoal black, sun bleached hair looking greyer than ever and my ass has disappeared entirely!
    Then Shoefish put up that picture of the other end of the metabolism spectrum. Almost enough to get me to move to a monestary... I try like hell to maintain fighting weight of about 165-170... Island trips wreck it and I cuss my metabolism for not letting me get back to weight as quick as I would like... Then I look at that snapshot of that sand sow and think of the multitudes of the land manatees we have clooging the sidewalks and store aisles of south Florida.
    Hell, who am I kidding? Its rampant all over this country of instant gratification we live in... Why couldn't god have given us all a nice normal metabolic rate. Or how is it that modern science has failed at weight control products either up or down since our forefathers first walked upright? Why cant there be a fat bank? most people could just deposit there while others like me could go in and get a quick fill up after a Bahamas trip. It pisses me off that I found a secret way to lose weight yet for so many they havn't got it figured out yet... Its called hard work! Round the clock, nail biting tense kind of good ol manual labor... There I let out my secret cure... How about some weight gaining suggestions????
    There I feel beetter now...

    For weight gaining suggestions there's always Mickey D's...unless you mean good weight gain. Good weight gain is, you guessed it, hard work. Get yourself a good protein supplement and mix up a couple of shakes a day- one in the morning and one in the afternoon. That'll give your muscles the fuel they need to recover. If you don't like protein shakes, hard boil up a dozen eggs and pick away at a few of them a day- you'll be up to weight in no time.

    I actually like the shakes but they never seemed to put it on. Good or bad I just need some back on asap... I havn't been a weltyerweight in a long time and it doesn't sit well with me with the heavy work I do... I am quick like a bunny but a lot of what I do requires just plain mass... I can stay quick to about 170 then start to bind up a little too much...

    You ever try creatine? If you go to GNC, ask for a product called "creadvantage". What it does is it increases the resorption of fluids into your muscles. It also helps with recovery when you have those good old fashion heavy lifting days because it has glutamine in it.

    GNC? That sounds like some place that sells healthy stuff... Yuck!

    I'm going to the golden arches and hammer a fewew dozen dbl 1/4 pounders with cheese...

    I know that I'm running on the dry side when I'm in the islands... Pee is dark... I don't sweat... Re absorbtion may be a big part of it... I can tell though I'm running close to 0% body fat right now... That little can be a problem in itself. In my drinking days I damaged my duodenum which is responsibnle for a lot of the front line nutrient absorption... So with there I have to get some front line digestion aid to get soaking it up starting t the stomach...
