to be cremated or not to be cremated. what's your stance and why?

this past weekend was the funeral of Kim's brother-in-law. 53, died wednesday of cancer. ate him up quick. 5 months tops! a real shame.

anyway, he is being cremated and it got me to thinking about having that done when i exit this world. i'm just on the fence about it. alot of people i know are going to be cremated when they die. so what's your opinion?

being taken out to the depths of deep blue seas on a beautiful sportfisher and tossed into the winds and seas sounds like something that i might want. plus my first brittany's ashes can be tossed along with mine......

i dont know my stance and it is not something i like to bring up as i am somewhat or a over exaggerated hypo of some sort but not totally.

i will one day have to think about it but for now i will try to just chill and let someone else think about it..

Sorry about your loss. I've seen too many people lose this fight and it sucks.

As far as the cremation thing, you can get your ashes cast in concrete and placed on the ocean floor to become a reef. Then your buddys and kids will still be able to fish with you and they'll have a "secret spot." Make sure somebody remembers to hit the save button on the GPS.

sorry to hear about your loss,I told my sister if I go before her and she puts me in a pine box in the ground I will Haunt her ass (she is scared of ghosts), really I want to go to the 000's about 200 fathoms,I like the idea of the gps#'s

I am going to do the reef gig. Its a neat way to contribute to the future. I love to fish & I love the ocean waters. Think about it, I'll be on the ocean floor surrounded by blue water and fish. The environment will always be changing, unlike being stuck in a casket! JMO!

we have our request of having my Brat take us to the tower and put the boat up on full tilt in blue water and let us go... makes a really cool grey looking trail. sure don't want anyone building a shopping center over me... sorry to hear of your loss. always remember though it's not the day you came in or the day you check out ..it's the dash in between that means everything!

Put me down for cremantion too. As a matter of fact I have my last labs ashes in my man cave waiting for one last swim together although that reef idea is kinda cool! Scotty.
