Day 2

Well two days down, 7 more to go.

Today was easier, we were able to put the theories we learned yesterday into practice on the charts. I had no problem there, just tedious.

We did plotting and figuring drift. Mostly a bunch of stuff you will never need.

I was able to do the questions on all 3 charts, so I'm ready for that part.

On to Rules of the Road tomorrow.

HOWEVER, did you know that if you are a commercial boat you need a devation chart? I have seen it in the red book. If you have a handheld compass though, there is no deviation hypothetically, so you could argue that you didn't need one if you were questioned about it.

Passed my exam tonight!! Finally!! I would highly recommend the online practice tests. They helped out alot. Make sure you know the rules of the road since you need 90% to pass that part. Study the questions in the end of each chapter.those are on the test. Good Luck
