datatroop.com thank you very very much !

    http://www.datatroop.com/

Hey i just want to share this with you all.
We are getting ready to unvail the new video section in about 2 days and during the long process of putting the section together my comp had a meltdown.

I have been editing video around the clock compressing and ftp'ing and my hard drive decided to fry.

When i say i wanted to cry i mean it. This hard drive had all my origanal images from the end of last season and every thing from New Orleans and venice on it that was not backed up. Including 50 plus hours of editng to get the new video section live.

The day it happined i called the geek squad to help me since fried hard drives is outta my league. They came out charged me 229. for a emergency service and were not able to help me . Told me to take the comp to best buy and drop it off and they would try to figure it out. Well my thoughts at this point are 229 dollars in plus what ever it will now cost at best buy then i still need new drives blah blah . Thinking this way i figured i would just say oh well and buy a new comp and move on. Then a friend called and i told him about what was going on.

He said call Eric and Datatroop.com in south jersey. I called him and he came right out. He took my comp and called me every few hours updating me. He then called and said i have good news ! Some data was starting to transfer to a new hard drive. Well about 48 hours later all the data was transferred and he came by today to drop off a ecternal with all my important docs.

He was able to recover everything i needed from the computer.

So please if you own a company in tristate area and need IT work check out http://datatroop.com they saved the sportfishermen.com video section .

Video section coming in 2 days with over 200 videos for you to watch

Thanks Eric you the man !!!!!!!

John- my hard drive crashed right before our Louisiana trip- I know how you felt- all my business calculations, quotes, etc. were on it. Luckily, it still ran(extremely slow) and my computer repair man could pull off my important files. I lost a few, but it could have been worse.

As far as the vid section-

    Looks great!

Thumbs up A bit delayed- but Thanks!

John, its been a while since you posted this. I noticed this post when googling our name. The link to this forum post comes up second in the results list. Anyway...thanks for the kind words and I'm glad we could help and as a result contribute to this fine fishing site. The site is looking great and continues to get better and better. I visit it often but haven't posted anything until now. I really enjoyed the chunking DB articles by Bunkerhead and the Big Fluke articles by Captain Fred.

I intend on posting more especially some fishing reports when I get to go out with Timmy again on the A.O.K. We are supposed to hit some drummin spots soon. 2 trips so far this year chasing the striped ones hasn't produced much. Regardless its always nice to be on the water. It was pretty cool seeing you out on the rocks snapping pics of the boats speeding out to the striper grounds a few weeks ago.

John, the discovery of this post has prompted us to put a link to your site on ours, check out our homepage at www.DataTroop.com .

Data Troop has also recently began offering a unique real-time onsite/offsite backup solution to protect important data from the unexpected.

Thanks again and keep up the good work on truly, The Ultimate Fishing Resource.
