Damn Shame!

Is it just me or is sf.com slowly turning towards more BS, idiots starting shit and major waste of time threads that distract all our minimal free fun time?
I have found myself getting caught up in these posts of total BS and - he said, she said and someone going out of their way to feel self-important or using the internet to get their rocks off.
For a long time this site provided a terrific resource for information, networking and interesting banter back and forth, and now it seems like the majority of time something is posted that sucks everyones energy and drags allot of quality members into the BS instead of sharing their fishing trips, knowledge and ideas.

I for one am getting tired of it and have found myself spending time elsewhere and hope sometime soon enough people will have had enough and either ignore or stomp out the small minority that are propagating the noise.

There is plenty of information still being posted....however you are correct with some guys going out of thier way to create drama, if no one replies to thier Bullshit the posts will just go away. Ive been guilty my self, but thats the road im going to take.

I think we all need to control ourselves when a buttt head post goes up and just ignore it. This is the only way to weed out the garbage.

oh yah and post more reports, If you go out come home and post a report, give time date location that is what this site is about.

It is the name calling that get Me. The anominity of the net give many the naggots to call each other names and completly disregard the fact that each is entitled to His or Her opinion. You can either choose to not read or post but disrespecting anothers opinion by insults and name calling only makes it worse. You will still find all the great info here on other forums here. Perhaps You should not read the mix it up forum if You are bothered by the content. After all.....it is called mix it up!

i forget who said it, {when everyone is thinking the same and talking, no ones thinking, everyones talking] its not a damn shame, theres a lot i dont agree with. but i dont walk around thinking they all need to be silenced. i have a friend that played pro football many years ago. a guy that couldnt spell cat if you gave him the first letter as k and the second as a. but he is very successful, has tremendous instinct for people and their abilities. he always surrounded himself with people that could be successful. i remember he told me one time, alex, 97 % of the people are born losers, and followers. of the 3% left, 1% of them will move out of your way just by telling them to. that leaves only 2% so if your going to spend your life not thinking and going with the flow, no questions asked..........i can write the ending for you. somehow that was the same message i got from my dad, a little different way but the same . you dont have to agree, but it aint a "damn shame". peace,

Message boards no matter what the subject matter or community always end up having the drama and bickering. I've checked out a bunch of other boards, none come close to SFC in quality of membership and content. I think we do a pretty good job of policing ourselves here on SFC, and Admin and Jer, usually shutdown the worst offenders. But, to say it's chasing you to other forums, really look at this site, there's alot more here than a message board. I would go as far as saying it's only a small part of the overall picture, SFC is closer to an online magazine smashed together with a fishing TV network.
SFC, now has:
Audio Fishing reports
Regional fishing news
Top notch tournament coverage
Tournament schedules for the whole world
Video section on par with Youtube
and looks like SFC's gonna be taking the Boat Listing Community by storm( can't wait to see this! )
