If you dont like a post hit report.. sent john admin a pm and let him know and it will get taken care of.. if you feel you got to spend your time somewhere else go right ahead... that is a sorry excuse for leaving..i have been on EVERY single site out there and you can not TOUCH THIS SITE!! it is the most informative and pleasant forum out there... There is enough reading material on here with articals and such that you dont even have to post.. there are days i am on here for 8 hours and i never touch a thread and just watch vids, cruise thru the pics dept or just read articles..

I have ready paul cameron (DEEPC) articles over and over again.. i try new techniques people bring in and spend more time on the water than on this site once the season comes.. It is the people that DONT fish that start the junk!!

You are right on the money. I think this site does do a good job of policing itself. To me SFC has much more to offer than any other site I have visited. There is a wealth of information here and the site has a lot of good fishermen who are willing to share their techniques and their knowledge with others. We have some members here who are sponges in that they are asking questions and getting answers that is helping them evolve into good fishermen. When some of these members post about their fishing trips you can sense the excitement that they are feeling and they keep coming back for more info. In just the few months I have been a member this site has grown and changed. Heck I still find something new here everyday.

Damnit people! Think about it. This has the potential to be the best site anywhere and it still is but if we start clique shit and dog pile on the rabbit we'll sink into the depths of averagedom.
Johns got an insurmountable mountain of crap on his plate. Adding to the headaches by bashing and responding to the bullshit pushes him closer to the edge. For his sake and all of our sake. Take it to PM then feel free to whack the piss out of the perpetrators. Don't feed it on the threads. Thats the attention they are seeking...

Mix it up is basically a pretty open forum. Maybe they could split it up in to subcategories like-
Political
Bitching and moaning
Rants
Hubris only
You have to admit, it's a pretty well run site when guys like Hubris don't just get banned because they said something against a program the site was supporting

There is no other site on line that even comes close to the quality, content and depth of sf.com
that is why in the past I personally have spent allot of time and effort posting topic threads, report threads and promotion threads.
I have also pushed and spearheaded my past employer to step up with banners, ads and special programs to both promote our products and also to support SF.com; so for the couple of guys with the wise ass comments you don't know what your talking about once again.
I posted the thread because this is how allot of other once decent sites deterioted and lost members and advertisers and I do not want this to happen here. A few bad apples who spend the majority of their time posting BS and adding "no true value" turns off many people and advertisers.
I do agree with the guys who reminded me that mix it up is for controversial and more heated topics and that's cool, and you can always ignore or shut out those that provide nothing of value, time to learn how to use the ignore feature

As far as the management and moderators of the site, it's second to none no doubt, keep up the good work!
