Probably dating myself, but here goes...

Anyone remember or know what happened to Dad's Place or Dad's boat rental....had a fishin' pier along-side it too.....???
Had "DAD"S" written on the roof of one of their buildings.

If you are talking about the Dad's Place along Ocean Drive between Wildwood and Stone Harbor, it's still there just run under a different name. I think it is Wildwood Sea Doo.

Yup...dat's da one....home of my first captains job...only hit one side of the bridge going out.....age...like 7.
catch:... 62 blowfish and 2 baskets of crabs.

Mars...(Son of Dad) still owns the property and Mom (Wife of Dad) still lives in the house there. The marina and ramp has silted-in and the depth is very shallow now. I expect this is due to the previous dredging in the inlet. The pier is still open for fishing and every once in a while You will hear of an interesting catch there. A couple of years ago a Guy caught a couple of Red's and one was wieghed in @ 12lb's! It is a shame, with it's prox to the inlet and open Ocean, this place could have been an awesome facility.

Kinda thought there'd be a Ruth's Chris Steak house there on the 5th floor of the Ritz by now.....caught a 18" sea robin there once....he half swallowed a 9" sea-robin...along with some doormats in my day...dbl clark spoons with squid strips....and the guy with the hawaiian sling at slack tide free-diving around the bridge was me
