I have the 660's.Yeah this is one of mine.

WHAT ALL DID YOU FIND BROKE ROD? RODS APPEAR TO HAVE SOMETHING ON THEM AM I LOOKING TO HARD HERE. YA GONNA HAVE TO DO A MAJOR OR JUST AN UPPER END REBUILD?

I have it running already.That is the rod that fires the injector.They seem to be having some condensation problems in the valve train.The motor is running fine so far.That is rust on the pushrods.

I REMEMBER SOME OF THE CAT 3176'S AND 3126'S HAVING A SIMILAR CONDENSATION PROBLEM INTERNALY. WHAT CAUSED ROD TO BREAK OR COME LOOSE?

This happened 2 hours of running time after the cummins guys serviced it.They had to do the service for the records.I fixed it myself,those guys are not setting foot on my boat again.The lock nut was never torqued back down after the lash was set.Lasted long enough for a sea trial.

HOW MUCH WATER IS SHOWING UP IN YOUR OIL PAN? ARE GETTING CONDENSATION IN THE OIL WHEN YOU PULL THE STICK? I WAS THINKING OF REPOWERING WITH 535 QSM11'S OR THE NEW QSC 540'S HOPE THIS CONDENSATION PROBLEM ISN'T TO MAJOR.
