Hey Guys,
I have a 2001 dodge 2500 with the cummins 6.5 and it seems like it's starving for fuel, not all the time.after I have run it during the day it will hesitate when I step on the peddle to pull out of the shop, mostly leaving work in the evening and on the highway between 50 and 60 mph . it will stop gaining speed until you mash the peddle real hard. I have had both pumps replaced and it will fix the problem for about a week.Changing the filter doesn't help either. When it does it you can push the peddle all the way to the floor and the tach will not go up. It will increase in speed very very slowly and then kick in and take off. The Dodge dealer said to drop it off and we'll put it on the computer to see if we can find a problem, well thats getting expensive so I went to the Cummins service center in Columbia SC and they told me they have an agreement with Dodge not to work on Dodges with Cummins from year 2001 and newer.
any body have this problem.
Jeff
