    Crocodile Hunter DEAD

Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin is dead at the age of 44. He was filming on the Barrier Reef when he came in contact with a stingray. He took the barb to the heart and was dead almost instantly. The world of wildlife will miss him. He bought to our living rooms some great real life footage. Some may not have liked his ways but some did. Regardless he will be missed. Prayers sent to the Irwin family.

I was just reading about that. He died doing what he loved, though.

    Stingray

Appearentely he was playing with a giant Stingray. I have to say this, not that it comforts anyone, but he died doing what it was he loved to do. Striper your right he will be missed! Prayers sent to the Irwin family.

That's too bad. I feel for his young family.
I enjoyed his work and believe he loved it dearly as well.

Long an icon in the Deep household... He's gonna be missed deearly...

Goes to show... It's not the iminent big dangerous stuff that wins in the end. Its that "harmless" one that you drop your guard on that can get you. Kinda brings back memories of Billy Verbanas. It wasn't a grander mako that got him. It was that regular average one...

I have heard that 200 lb rays or skates can be caught inside Teaches Lair Marina. Watch where you step.

truly sad to hear , especially since has has a young child, truly sad to hear.
he gave so much to the world in the way of animal education and struck a soft spot deep within many peoples lives. children have gained so much knowledge from this mans exploits and adventures in the world. i am sure no one will ever be able to fill his shoes.

    prayers have been sent.

Who was Billy Verbanas? Not being ignorant, just never heard of him.
