Crunched the wing. They say that any landing that you can walk away from is a good landing. I would rather not damage anything.

I thought he was kinda rusty on his transition from crabbing to landing....but I have been called overly critical.

He should have initiated the go-round a lot sooner.

With the wind gusting well over 60, he never should have gotten a clearance and, having been given one, when he heard the wind, which was well above the max demostrated crosswind compnent for that plane, should have gone to another airport. VERY lucky and if he were in the states, the FAA would be calling...

Every incedent/accident has the government agency of that area or country calling no matter where you are. The only way you can get away with it is if noone else sees it and it doesn't get reported.

Been there done that but right about the demonstrated xwind component poor judgement on airplane drivers part VERY LUCKY
