Craigslist....a Rant

I just don't get it..I buy and sell gear on ebay and Craigslist all the time. But CL really takes the cake with frickin idiots. Its a great measure of the mentality of the mass populace..Just dumb as they get sheeple running around this world.

I post a Swordfish combo for $800, I write 'firm price" and other instructions regarding "pick up only, cash only and no trades". What did I get in response?...about a dozen mooks making low ball offers (as low as $200), one guy wanted to mow my lawn for a month (I live in condo)..a few people just responded with comments about the manufacturer ("Shimano is better than Penn") etc...on the other hand, I bought a scroll saw for $50 and it was basically new and would have cost $300...the guy delivered it and helped me clean it up (he felt bad that it had dust on it)...

Want to get a grip on society's shortcomings...go on craigslist...it's like doing biz with the toothless, shirtless people in line at the DMV..and worse...90% of my responses in Miami came in Spanish...if that isn't telling enough about this town...and finally...no, I won't take a food stamp book even it is for more than the value of the reel...no, I won't front you the tackle until you catch enough fish to sell and then pay me...Scroll saw guy, thank you for being the real deal....Troubledfishingpro@y888o....I appreciate the offer, but no you can't "meet me at midnight at the bridge and alone"...

Funny....I put my 40' Jersey Dawn on there for fun....aside from all the Phishers, brokers, and screwballs that want to give me a $100,000 more than I'm asking and have me give the pickup dude the difference, is the jerks that want to know if they can make it back to Nigeria on a full tank...I tell them they may need an extra 5 or two of fuel........

Thats why i quit using craigs..didnt have time for the SHORT BUS people...
