    Costa Sunglasses Rubber Fix

If you like your Costa's as much as I and they broke, you know most likely have to part with them and send them back to Costa in CA. Which is fine, they are great with warranty and repairs!

However, my fav pair is older and the rubber wore off the temples leaving hard sharp plastic..So while pondering..I came up with a good fix, which works great!

Also, works well for Jinkai rigging crimpers etc..see the pics..

The temples were dipped twice then dried, then one more time. The jinkai crimps 3x.

The pair of Costa's on the right have the original rubber.

I had the rubber wear off mine too. I took some black electrical shrink wrap tubing and heat shrunk it on the arms. Worked great and you have to look real close to see it's electrical tubing.

I like your fix better though and will give it a try next time.

Man ya beat me to it Ive been using it on my Oakleys since 1987 when I came home all POd because the rubber ear grips came off my new glasses. I threw them on the counter in typical 17 year old fashion and went to the throne. When I came back down my dad had dipped both ears and cut off the ends so the stems poked through like new ones. Felt as good as new. Dads Rock!!!!!
