I have the money. I just need to "learn a lesson" But how the hell am I supposed to watch bally's for 8 hours when I don't have a pair of decent shades.. It really makes me mad but theres nothing I can really do about it.

And thanks for all the suggestions. I really appreciate them and have considered every option

Money, I have kids and I'm all about making them learn a lesson. But what kind of lesson will you learn by damaging your eye sight. High quality optics are essential on the briny blue. Cheap glasses are just that cheap glasses. I've watched plenty of expensive shades sink to Davy Jones locker and I've gone the cheap route, but the eye fatigue is not worth the price.

As my pop always said there are three sides to every story and I'm sure your mom has a very good point to the rest of the story. So let us know how this pans out for ya. Tim

Coasta makes EXCELLENT fishing glasses but their claim of a warranty service doesn't exsist. I recently returned a pair that was in excellent condition had not used them much at all. The arm piece seperated where the metal is attached no big deal most likely defective. Their warranty service sent me an email that basically said I had abused these glasses and I would have to pay for the repair. ONLY a 30 dollar repair for a new arm but GEEWEZZ one would think what if it had been worse. So if you decide on Coasta's don't count on a warrenty service.

I own a pair of Costa Fathoms with the blue mirrored lenses. I highly recommend them. I know Costa's customer service has a bad reputation, but the quality and clearity that their products have make it worth the trouble. To add to this...check out www.eyesave.com. Their prices are the best I've found.

So you have the money, why do you want mommy dearest to buy them? You lost 'em, you buy them. You've got the money, so whats the problem?

With that said, I love my Costas. Some of the components are behind in quality (mainly the rubber parts) but its nothing RTV and sandpaper cant fix.

    Fisherman,
Hay Guy’s some good argument and fare replies. I say If you’re a serious fishermen stick to the Costa’s man. These have been designed by fishermen for fishermen. I’ve tried all the popular brands and lens types. If your going out there in the blue there ant nothing gonna beat the 580 lens from Costa.
They are pricy but worth every dime. 4 pares and I haven’t looked back at the old one’s yet. I’ve had great service from Costa and this when I’m sitting on the opposite side of the globe. 3 day’s from order and sorted.

I spend every day out in the sun and have been in the sun since 24 years back, man your eye are your tools man you need to take care of them with the best that is available. I can't go out without my Sunny’s 10, 20 minutes later I’ll have a cracking headache.

Hope this helps, wait for the best opportunity to corner you Mum and ask again, Mattie get a strap for your glasses then you wont lose them.

    Costa Del Mar Sunglasses.. :)

    Thumbs up

    Thank you guys so much!

I think I have a legititmate offer for my momma dearest (thanks florida deckie)

I told her I would clean the house every week while I'm off for the summer.. Seriously, as much as kids hate to clean, how could that not be a lesson learned?

Now, I have one more question.

Does anyone have any input about Costa Del Mar Permit

They were awarded something by Marlin Magazine, but I want to hear what YOU have to say
