Cops Everywhere

This morning I stopped at the little gas station that is a block from my house. There was a Pa State Troopers car there and the place was closed, so I drove off to get gas another place. So tonight BOUT 9:00PM I thought I would stop by and see what the deal was earlier this morning. The guy that was working today said that they robbed the place last night after closing but didn't get much because of the safe. I told them the need to get bars on the windows and we kind of joked about it. Now we live in a very, very small town, no traffic signals, no local police, 6 or 7 blocks square and that's it. So I drove up to my house and went in to grab a bite to eat and talk to the wife and kids, this was around 9:30om. While I was setting on the sofa I heard what I thought was the Medivac helicopter coming in to the airport which is about a mile from the house. They fly in there every night because this is the airport that they are based out of. Well the helicopter made a loop around the house and I just thought they were waiting to land but they made another loop. I looked outside to see what was up and the chopper had his search light on. I watched for a minute or so and the chopper landed up the road from my house directly behind the gas station. The neighbor guy comes over and asked what was going on. Not knowing what the deal was we decided to walk up to the station to check it out. When we got there the police were getting out of the chopper and heading to the gas station. The place was crawling with cops, even had the K9 unit there. A lady that lives beside the station told me that 2 guys had just robbed the station and fled on foot back through our block of houses . She said that they apparently were hiding behind her garage until closing time and hit the station as the guy was closing. I thought I had better get back to the house to make sure all was well there. No sooner had I got to the house her comes 2 officers with the dog. They walked by my house and then the dog turned around and headed back towards my house. When the dog got to my drive way he turned came up the drive way, through my gate, and stopped. I'm thinking oh shit, I hope that dog isn't on their trail. The dog walked back out the gate and the dog and officers went bake up the street. I came in the house and put the girls in bed with their momma and I will sleep, or try to sleep in the room next to them. Got the .45 right here beside me in case someone wants to try some stuff. The station seems to get robbed about 2 times a year, and they usually catch the KID that does it. We have a bank here in town that seems to get hit every once in a while. In the 11 years that I have been here I think it has been robbed 3 times. 2 of those times it was held up 7 days apart. Maybe since they couldn't get any money last night the decided to try when someone was there. i would think that a person would wait awhile before robbing it again due to the fact that the police are probably watching the place. Well that is my excitement for the evening hope yours was better.

ya need a dog to keep around the house. My lab could hear a bird fart a hundred yards away and was by my feet or in eye range always. One lift of his ear and I knew when something was out of norm.........Now that I said that, I need another one real soon.....curly hair this time, maybe 120 lb female
