I needed some paint and wax, and Daley needed a few things for his new boat, so we trekked over to West, which was recently moved and expanded.
We get there and the lot is jammed, and a bunch of tents set up. Oh boy, here we go, I thought. We walk up and grab a free dog and coke, and check out the tents. 2 pools set up, one with remote control boats for docking practice, one with a bunch of kayakers paddling around. 2 guys are going at it in the fighting chair competition. My buddy from the Regulator dealership is there with a few boats. Looked like fun.
We walk in, and they are raffling off all kinds of stuff, including a charter on Andrea's Toy. George Poveromo is showing some dude how to use a fishing kite. I made my way past this to the paint isle, to the really cool part.
Looking at the paint, here's 2 scientists from Interlux, we had a long chat. Needed a bilge pump, the VP from Rule runs me through the options. Looking at an Old Harbor Outfitters shirt, here comes the owner of the company and gave us the low down on their history (John - they are impressed with SFC, ripe for a sponsorship). Looking at jigs, here comes the Shimano guy. About 10 times the normal salespeople, all being very helpful. One girl sees I am overloaded and runs down a very scarce cart for me. Another grabs the paint out of the cart and brings it to the back for a shake.
The way shopping should be all the time. It must have worked, we spent $600 between us on my Port Supply account
. The party goes on until tomorrow, so if you are in the area (Brick), check it out

There was a big OHO display with a manequin and a bunch of T's over his head, so chances are good.
