Computer Question

I use to build them for the fun of it. Over clock the cpu on abit boards, triple fans even thought of a cooler with ice and a fan blowing through it to gain more speed,cooling the cpu. Today look for a deal. You can't build them for what the big four sell them for. Look for a good fast video card with 1024 memory and a duel cooling fan. Wait don't do that crap. Find a deal at CC, or BB, with rebates out the kazoo. AMD duel core is nice and intel is nice as are the various hard drives and video cards. Some video cards have video out to a TV and some don't. Be sure to know any bells and whistles will not be a deal, a deal to me is under 499 for a desk top box amd 17" lcd monitor. Now if you have other intentions of use such as major video work and auto-cad software, look to chum for all the new toys and mirrored drives. Those little 133 AMD chips would scream until u used all of windows 3.1 memory resources and u knew it would crash and burn.....flat......LOL.....ahh the smell of silicon

Thanks Flat. You and I are thinking alike. I do run Autocad on a daily basis. But for under 499 if I got a year out of it i would be happy. That's for the desktop. My laptop needs to last me longer then that and it will get abused alot more.
