COME ON IN..MEET MY LIL' FRIEND

Im' going to follow these two stories to see where the homeowner end up by defending their property with the use of deadly force.

Both happened in the last 24 Hours down here..

    What's your thoughts?

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. -- Police in Boynton Beach investigated an early morning shooting on Saturday after a homeowner said he found a man hiding in his house. The incident happened on Northwest First Street at about 12:30 p.m.Police said 27-year-old Anthony Cole shot a man multiple times, and it appears he used deadly force because he felt his life was in danger.Eddie Weal, 20, was taken to Delray Medical Center with injuries that were not life-threatening, police said. They said he will be charged upon his release.

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — WPBF.com
Police in West Palm Beach said a man took the law into his own hands, defending his home from an intruder early Sunday.
Police said a man broke into a house on Parker Avenue at about 4 a.m.
The man who lives at the home stabbed and killed the intruder in self-defense, police said.

    i agree .....

what is a "stranger" doing in your house ?? hell, if he wants to come in , knock on the door like everyone else. i think the "law" should not apply if someone willingly enters your house. he is looking for trouble , and he will find it in my home .....

Some states have better home protection laws then others, NC has a great system referred to under castle law, your home is your castle, you have every right to defend it, other states like my dumb ass state MD, if someone breaks into your house you have to try and escape your "castle" before your allowed to cap 'em. Total BS. NC also has "Stand your ground" where in if you feel threatened you can start capping with out the need to seek refuge, MD opposite again, you have to try to run away or escape danger before you can cap 'em. Not sure what FL is, but there are several sites that explain personal and home protection laws by state.

Either way, I think the key words you tell the cops is you feared for your life, then you started capping.

    Like The Old Saying Goes,

"If you don't want any trouble, don't start any". I think that came from an "old guy" in Eastern NC. Truth is that's one reason we don't have too much of that here in the stick's. Every house (including Grandma's) is armed and they ain't scared to use it. Sure enough! Frank

Florida has a Stand Your Ground law. Should be absolutely zero problems for the shooters.

    http://www.cfif.org/htdocs/freedomli...efense-law.htm

The Florida law is a self-defense, self-protection law. It has four key components:

    * It establishes that law-abiding residents and visitors may legally presume the threat of bodily harm or death from anyone who breaks into a residence or occupied vehicle and may use defensive force, including deadly force, against the intruder.

    * In any other place where a person “has a right to be,” that person has “no duty to retreat” if attacked and may “meet force with force, including deadly force if he or she reasonably believes it is necessary to do so to prevent death or great bodily harm to himself or herself or another to prevent the commission of a forcible felony.”

    * In either case, a person using any force permitted by the law is immune from criminal prosecution or civil action and cannot be arrested unless a law enforcement agency determines there is probable cause that the force used was unlawful.

    * If a civil action is brought and the court finds the defendant to be immune based on the parameters of the law, the defendant will be awarded all costs of defense.
