    COACH KNIGHT... WHAT SAY YOU?

Bobby Knight turned the reigns over to his son, Patrick yesterday.

I must say, even when I was a kid playing hoops, I always wanted to play for the General. I admire him for: making men out of boys, graduating his players, expecting his players to be students first, never once broke recruiting rules, and made more with less than any coach ever. Let's hear it because I know there where those "times"... but if I could spend a day flyfishing with someone, having conversation about many topics from politics to when he sees a kid turn into man and other social issues and enjoy a meal afterwards, Coach Knight would be at the top of my list.

    Thanks Coach.

A master of the game. Like all of us the man has a blind spot (nasty temper) for which he has paid dearly, but I have never seen a better BB strategist.
    Thank you coach indeed.

The beauty of what he did and stood for was not winning games... it was about doing things the right way, understanding why and knowing that 99.99% of his opponents focus on the score & stats, not the work. Down to the smallest detail, he had it figured out. Execute the smallest things others overlook and the victories will take care of themselves.

He is as good a basketball coach and teacher as there has been. I believe he always had his players best interest in mind. Yes, he wore his emotions on his sleeve and had quite a temper...oh well, none of us are perfect. I have a great deal of respect both for the man and the coach...at least what I know of him.

funny as it may seem. Not much difference in the way the rules were set to me ...growing up. He did shape men that would have turned out less. A few push ups will never hurt anyone.......his strategies in play are legendary

the big a hole outweigh's all the positives. i do not respect him as a man because he does not deserve it, and that is ALL that matters.

you must be talking about someone else.

this guy is more than "just a few pushups."

did you see that stunt a few weeks ago with his little grandson at the press conference. you call that respect for the audience or for the KID! if my father did that with my kid or with me i would crack him upside the brain more than once. he is an idiot.
