Just got back from the theatre....don't bother seeing this movie. It is terrible. We got taken in with the hype "what is it?" type deal, and were thoroughly unimpressed. Wait to rent it.

The commercials got me too. It's basically a movie that is shot with a handheld camera (similar to Blair Witch) about a group of people that are trying to get out of Manhattan after the city is attacked. It's a basic monster movie (the moster looks like a sea monster, walks like a bat, and has a head like Predator), with a couple little twists. The special effects are pretty good, but it doesn't answer any questions, and the ending is just stupid- when the lights turned on in the theatre, there were boos. If you're a sci-fi nut, it's decent, but I'd wait to rent it. It's not worth the $10 to see it.

Thanks for the warning Shoe. I've got a two-year old and don't get to see too many movies anymore. It'd sure bite to waste the price of babysitting on a turkey.

yeah heard it was not good at all. If you want a list a hilarious movies go rent these (SUPERBAD, WAITING, HOT ROD, KNOCKED UP) all done by same guy not rated for kids.

Actually I wanted to see it just as bad, so it was a pretty big disappointment. Besides that, nothing else new on my end.

By the way, Bodie, you couldn't be more right- Superbad and Knocked up are a riot.
