It is a 2 part system. you wet the deck, then pour on Part A, scrub (very lightly) then put on Part B and scrub lightly again, then rinse. AMAZING Stuff.

I don't have teak decks, but I have a teak table that I made the mistake of oiling - It has been outside for a couple of years - Now it is gorgeous and blonde.

It was easy enough that I would consider a teak deck in my boat!!!!!!
A lot less effort than waxing non-skid...

Be careful...do not get into close quarters with the sudsy ammonia. You can buy sudsy ammonia at any grocery store in the cleaner section for about $2 a gallon.

While teak is still wet, combine Starbrite Teak Brightener and water 40/60, Apply liberally and keep wet.....again DO NOT LET DRY. Let the Starbrite solution stay on the teak for 5-10 minutes....rinse thoroughly.

My cockpit is 130 sq-ft plus teak covering boards and I use two 16 oz containers of the Starbrite Teak Brightener to approx. a gallon of water.

During the season, I do this about once a month. Total time = Approx 1 hour. Gives the teak a "blonde" look....BEAUTIFUL!
are u using the starbrite AFTER the sudsy ammonia? also, are u scrubbing that starbrite in or justletting it sit for 5-10 minutes then rinse? thanks, can u come by and do it for me pleeeeeeeez.

Use the brightener after you clean with ammonia.

You do not have to scrub the brightener, just move it around with a soft brush so that it covers all of the teak.

good ole pool shock is the cheapest wood cleaner. Rinse when done real well. Decks, teak, oak, and pine, Watch your eyes with any of the cleaner you use. Replace the oil you removed. sand lightly if you will sit on this teak. 220 paper. where safety glasses chuck

    1) Ammonia - Cleaner Use it hot with a good Brush.

    2) Oxalic Acid- Brightner( Bar Keepers Friend 2 dollars/Can at food Lion)

    3) Transmission Fluid- Teak Oill lasts 4 times longer than Teak oil at 100 Bucks/Gal. It soaks in and looks great,I was hesitant at first but it works great. Its only 2 bucks /Qt.

Do a large cockpit for < 10 bucks not $150.00

What is everyones favorite method, best products???

Personally I've always liked Te-Ka 2 part cleaner, it's messy but it really gets the grime out of the wood. As for oil, I'm partial to Amazon.

    Any tips??
We use Tide with bleach crystals in it scrub deck to clean then use snappy teak brightner comes out beautiful and you don't screw up any metal like tower legs etc.
