there is nothing better!!...leave at 8am friday..troll till dusk, find your spot, set your drift and start chunckin baby!!! nothig better then going crazy with a squid jig for 5 hours...or droppin a sabiki rig down when the anchovies and mackerel show up!!!!......and the sunrise!!! doesnt get any better!
BUT...back to the thread at hand....I HAVE A HUGE problem when a guy sits on the side of a rig and jigs tuna, after tuna, after, tuna up and then brings them on bored blood F*in pouring out of thier mouth and then says.......Part of conservation is letting these little guys live to get caught another day!!!!!!!!!!!!
and then the underwater camera spans to show the fish on his way to stick his nose in the sand or become shark bait!!!! are you kidding me....at least keep the sucker and filet him up! dont act like your doing him a service!!! I was so pissed off after seeing this....i almost wrote ESPN....almost!
but the truth of the matter is its happening on our own docks. these guys will limit out on bluefin and sit there and boat one after another......and fight em for hours and then release him????????? AND I DONT MEAN JUST ONE OR TWO OVER THE LIMIT...THEY ARE SPENDING ALL NIGHT DOING THIS!!!
now if someone can tell me the survival rate of a 250lb bluefin tuna who has just been worn out by a 300lb fat man so drunk he thinks everything should die.....I would greatly appreciate it..
cause my bet is that beautiful fish is goin straight to the bottom!!!...im not saying dont Do it...i love chuncking! lets just respect it alittle. and dont act like your doing the fish a favor...cause your not!
If you got a problem with my rant, im sorry. I just remeber hearing stories of massive fish from my grandfather, and it was never we caught 18..it was we caught our limit and one of em happend to be a monster! I dont know. i think i should probably go back to bed...im normally not this opinonated
o and by the way...im in no shape or form a PETA person....so dont even go there!!!

Chunking is the problem...as usual blatent disreguard is.....and there is always gonna be alot of that!
