Cheers to Continental - GO TO HELL DELTA!

For some reason I made a butthead move and booked my flight for Guatlemala on Inauguration Day out of DC. It is gonna be hell. I decided to change my flight for a couple days early to avoid the traffic (and to fish an extra day). Delta charged me $179.00 for the change. I urged them to waive the fee and not only did they say no but they were pretty damn rude about it as well. Begrundgeonly I paid the money and changed my ticket.

All my buddies are traveling on Continental on the same date, to the same city from the same airport. They also expressed interest in moving the date but continental wanted to charge them an astronomical rate so they bagged the idea. This morning my buddies got this email from continental

Several flights have been rescheduled due to extremely limited access at
Washington National Airport (DCA) during events related to the Presidential
Inauguration. If you are confirmed to travel into or out of this airport and you
have not yet been contacted by us, please go to continental.com to review your
itinerary.

If you are confirmed to travel on January 20th into or out of any of the three
Washington-area airports (DCA, IAD or BWI) and would like to change your flight
to another date, you may do so without a change fee. Please see information
regarding this options at continental.com > Important Notices.

Needless to say now everyone is changing their flights and we will be fish off the bank watching football on sunday night and looking for billfish on tuesday. Cheers to Continental for having the customers best interest in mind. AND GO TO HELL DELTA. YOU JUST LOST A LOYAL CUSTOMER THAT USED TO FLY DELTA 15 TIMES A YEAR!

I flew Continental to Guatamela and I liked the airline. Never been a fan of Delta or US Air.

i stand behind continental 100 percent.. i love the way they lay out their flight plans and they have never let me know..

fly them all over the place and find they are just as cheap as everyone else no matter where you go.. even booked them for my trip to australia and they connected me with quantas and everything was perfect!! plus their continental onepass is linked up to my corporate american express so we can use the points to fly everywhere!!!
