    Charter boat ????

Does anyone know of a boat that has at least one left handed reel onboard? Just once like like to reel in a tuna the "right" way. I tried the first time out, turning the pole upside down and backwards, that went over like a lead balloon. Reeling with my retard hand just takes the fun out of it.

Im a sort of an ampidextrous person. The only charterboats I have ever been on had all right handed gear except for spin tackle which is usually left handed.

I'm left-handed and I do everything so called "backwards". I gaff different, clean fish different, but I still reel on the right. The only time I prefer left handed reels are spinning reels. I've tried the left handed reels and they feel weird to me.

Maybe it's time to buy yourself a rig. Just a thought.

I'm with Capt John. I do just about everything with my left hand - Except reel a conventional reel. All of my spinning reels are lefty, but right for regular gear.

My left hand is MUCH better at controlling the rod - right hand is just a motor - doesn't matter if it is retarded.

BUT - AVET stocks Lefty conventional gear, and Cal Sheets will convert Penn and Shimanos for you.

I hear ya, thought of that my self. It's hard to justify, I make it off-shore once a year, twice if I'm lucky. Anything that will hold a tuna, will just look foolish in my upper Potomac spread.
